Legal Notices for Changes of Name
Since I’ve so far been unable to find a home for the changes of
name that I’ve come across in the newspaper, I’ve decided
to temporarily list them here:
“NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF NAME
NOTICE is hereby given that an application will be made to the Director
of Vital Statistics for a change of name, pursuant to the provisions of
the ‘Change of Name Act,’ by me, Reuben Powluk, of 8368 King
George Highway, R. R. No. 4, North Surrey, in the municipality of Surrey,
in the Province of British Columbia, as follows: To change my name from
Reuben Powluk to Reuben Pollock. Dated this 13th day of March, A. D. 1957.

The former Roger Embree family would like to announce that the change
of name is now legal as the following: Roger to Darmel, Rose to Kory,
Loril to Dorlean, Waine to Randie, Moriss to Monty, Neal to Robby, Carel
to Carell, and the surname Embree, to Diston. We would appreciate very
much the co-operation of friends, neighbors and relatives.”
